Federal Budget & The NDIS

The new Federal Budget invests $166.6 billion into NDIS and people with disability—total funding for the NDIS will reach $166.6 billion over 4 years, an increase of $8.8 billion, which ensures funding for expected growth in Participants' plans.

National Survey: What Do Participants Think Of The NDIS?

The Summer Foundation (supported by People with Disability Australia) recently conducted a national survey of NDIS Participants. They asked people with disability or their families what works well with the scheme and what needs to be changed.

NDIS Review

The Minister for the NDIS, the Hon Bill Shorten MP, announced a review of the NDIS. The NDIS Review will look at the design, operations and sustainability of the NDIS. It will also look at ways to make the market and workforce more responsive, supportive and sustainable.

Disability In The Bush

The Disability In The Bush app helps people in remote communities connect with the NDIS; it also features stories from NDIS participants about the support they are receiving. The information is available in two central Australian Indigenous languages: Arrernte and Pitjantjatjara.

Dylan Alcott launched a new job site designed to connect people with disability to inclusive employers. The Field has been designed and led by people with disability and aims to remove accessibility barriers present in other recruitment platforms.
